Metabolic Health & Low-Carb Diets
I have followed several diets over the years, including a typical American diet. For a few years, I was a vegetarian.
For the last 14 years, I have followed a low-carb diet. I was strongly influenced by Wheat Belly, written by Dr. William Davis.
During that time, several of my lab results improved, and I lost weight and reduced my waist size. That has been my experience, but others may respond differently.
This collection of articles explores low-carb diets, metabolic health, insulin resistance, and nutrition. It includes perspectives from physicians, researchers, and writers who question conventional dietary advice. I explain why I have found many of their arguments persuasive, while recognizing that important questions remain debated.
